Yachties beware! - there are some radio black spots in Pearl Bay and Port Clinton so call us on Channel 21 about a nautical mile outside both anchorages to log off, receive weather reports, etc. Naturally, both Coast Guards monitor Channel 16 "24/7", as well as HF ( 2524, 4125, 6216, 8291) and 27.88.

If you need a VHF radio license, we can help there, too.

Both Coast Guard Yeppoon and K. S. C. G can advise on Shoalwater Bay closure notices, which may affect Port Clinton, Island Head Creek and Pearl Bay, this writer's favourite anchorage, but watch that entrance!

Rocky Met broadcast an excellent weather bulletin on VHF Channel 21 at 0705, 0920, 1205 and 1705 and will answer questions about forecast conditions.
