The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard has 147 radio bases and 63 Flotillas located from the Skardon River in the Gulf of Carpentaria, down the eastern sea board to Ceduna in South Australia, Tasmania and major inland lakes and weirs. The Flotilla is the smallest functional unit of the Coast Guard, members of which carry out the day to day activities of the organisation.
